My son will be out to sea for his birthday and I thought at one point I had read somewhere that there was some sort of cake service I could contact, so that he will receive a cake for his birthday?? If anyone has any info, please let me know... Thank-You

Why don't you make cake or pie in a jar and send it to him. Here's a site:

Then put it in a pair of socks for shipping

I'm with you, Julie.  My son and his friend both turn 21 while deployed!!  I would like to come up with something special for this special birthday!
my son will turn 21 also, next month......it's a special birthday and wish we could celebrate it with him :-(
My  husbands 30th is during deployment. I am going to do a whole "happy birthday box" I am going to find an annoying card that sings happy birthday (since we can't), I am going to make him a cake in a jar, and I am going to find some little birthday party favors to throw in the package as well. I want to put more in, but still have to come up with some more ideas. I have time though. I thought about balloons, but they won't make it. But maybe if you know someone in your son's berthing you can email them and ask if you can send them some balloons (be nice and throwh in special treats for this sailor) have them blow them up and hang them on your sons rack while he is working or in the head or something.. don't forget tape or string for them to tie it to the rack though!
I hope I am not to late to suggest this for your husbands 30th. I have a neat item I bought to send to my daughter for her birthday. It is a plastic birthday cake that revolves and has candles on it. The best part is it also has a little recording device in it so you can send a personal message or sing happy birthday! I could pick one up for you if you like. It costs 8.00 and it would probably cost like 3.00 to mail it to you. let me know if you want one.

Sherry "CHELSEY'S MOM" - I'd like to know where you got the birthday cake.  My sailor's birthday isn't until October, but I'm planning ahead.....for once!  Thanks!

Can you send me the information on the plastic cake

My daughter B-day is coming up and she really needs a big smile . and that would be great for her kids to send her.

My husbands birthday is in July, so if you ladiies come up with something pls let me know.
We can't get them in trouble with the balloons and party stuff can we?
I believe as long as they don't leave their rack or other areas covered with party stuff it should be fine. From what I have heard they go a little more lax when it comes to what the berthings look like.
He is selling them on ebay now under sellin_yesterday also his phone number is 812-756-8486 David is his name. Tell him Sherry sent you$(KGrHqQOKkYE414VllglBOTwc9S0VQ~~48_12.JPG

Julie,

I have really enjoyed doing rhis and several of the Sailors have told my son how surprised they were to receive a card from us and to tell us thank you!  I just wish ALL of the Sailors could get cards!
