While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please help keep our Sailors safe by observing operational security (OPSEC) and not discussing specific details of the ship's schedule.

Ships Address: (this is for Sailors attached to the ship, squadrons have different addresses). You must know the Department and Division your Sailor is assigned to ensure mail finds its way to him or her.

Here is the specific link the USPS Priority Mail APO/FPO Flat Rate Boxes, choose a pack of 10 or 25 boxes and they will deliver them right to your house. The APO/FPO boxes are the large size so you'll have to order the regular priority mail boxes if you want medium or small. Also linked the needed customs forms that you can order at the same time. ALL ARE FREE. You can then use Click and Ship to ship it at a discount and you can even schedule the post office to pick the package up from your house.

You will need to attach a Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note (2976-A) when mailing to the ship while it is deployed overseas.

My oldest little brother graduated from high school and I was at my dads house helping him celebrate... We had a great time and there was lots of food. :) he's planning on joining the military too.. He wanted to do air force but I think my husband has kind of talked him into the navy but we will see... I'm so proud of him!

Colleen, I'm so sorry to hear that. I will keep u in my prayers... Please let me know what your daughter likes because I can send a package as well... Just inbox me her info and what she likes.

However, he didn't get his package....won't be until the next mail call and that will be after his birthday :-( Guess I should have mailed it the day they deployed LOL

the last pc i made (the blue Curious George) i did have to "hide-out" in a bunker while making that one.....i wouldda been a real sucker if i had heard "is this one for the Navy, Momma?"
