For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ships Address: (this is for Sailors attached to the ship, squadrons have different addresses). You must know the Department and Division your Sailor is assigned to ensure mail finds its way to him or her.

Here is the specific link the USPS Priority Mail APO/FPO Flat Rate Boxes, choose a pack of 10 or 25 boxes and they will deliver them right to your house. The APO/FPO boxes are the large size so you'll have to order the regular priority mail boxes if you want medium or small. Also linked the needed customs forms that you can order at the same time. ALL ARE FREE. You can then use Click and Ship to ship it at a discount and you can even schedule the post office to pick the package up from your house.

@duhhuh58, lol. I think we would also need extra padding on our walls without n4m. Lol. Wild turkey sounds great to me... I'm going to find a tall glass to pour it in cuz I think I need a lot of it right now.

i sit here with an emil in my inbox. i haven't opened it yet because i don't want to see what it says. the last email i got said my grandson's "daddy" wanted to take away one of the days i keep him and he keep him. he is not his father but is his "daddy" they used to date. for the past 1 1/2 years he has had him mon night- thurs eveing and me thurs night - mon morn now he wants to take my thursday and i don't want to let him so i know there's a fight waiting for me.
i totally understand where ya'll are coming with the kids, as i said, i get emails with orders and bitching while others get "here's what i've been doing."
as for parents/kids well, my ex has had very little to do with his first 3 and doesn't understand why our son doesn't like him. he used to always tell our son that if i bought him anything i was "buying his love" but he knows that his mommy has ALWAYS been there for him. he does more with this last 2 than he ever did with the first 3.
Janae & CeeCee, don't ever feel the need to apologize for anything said here, we are here to vent to each other, without our "little N4M family" we'd all be in straight jackets, lol.
don't have any margaritas but i'll pass around the wild turkey

I'm with all of you, I don't know how someone can be like that towards their children....my children are my life....I would do ANYTHING for them!!
It disgusts me when I hear things like that!!!

@Annie, I try to protect because he already has enough on his plate.
@Ipon1987, I'm sorry to hear that. I just don't understand how people can be that way towards their own kids... I don't have kids but I know I don't ever want to be like my mother in law... She also leaves her child herewith me to go off with her boyfriend on weekends (the whole weekend). Like every other weekend... Last year on the weekend of her other sons 16th birthday weekend she was somewhere with her boyfriend so he spent it with me and my husband.
@CeeCee, that's okay. Lol. I hope to move as far from her as possible.... I think some of the sailors start to think differently when they are about to go out to sea.

That's why I said I'm done with the emails......I don't know if I can stop taking in personally even though I know he's like his dad, because it hurts, we've always been close and it just hurts...............My last email was very short....Just had his name, I LOVE YOU, and MOM...................no reply from him
Vent away Janae....I have been!! And I used to (a long long time ago) have a mother in law like that......not anymore, that was my first husband, when I was young and stupid

@CeeCee - boy, that's rough, especially if you don't feel the support from your hubby. But, if their personalities are similar, does that help you take it a little less personally? Do you think Dad might be able to talk to him? If not, you may need to just let go for a while -- sounds like it is going to be on his terms, for the time being anyway.
@Janae - I guess it takes all kinds. Wow. You are one special young woman to protect your husband from the stress.
