OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Here is the specific link the USPS Priority Mail APO/FPO Flat Rate Boxes, choose a pack of 10 or 25 boxes and they will deliver them right to your house. The APO/FPO boxes are the large size so you'll have to order the regular priority mail boxes if you want medium or small. Also linked the needed customs forms that you can order at the same time. ALL ARE FREE. You can then use Click and Ship to ship it at a discount and you can even schedule the post office to pick the package up from your house.

There is NAS Corpus Christi which is the largest and NAS Kingsville which is very small. Those would be easier to get if he was an aviation rate since they are both Naval Air Stations. A surface rate wouldn't have a lot of choices in either of those places.
What is your Sailors rate?

Lol, I'm sure there are hundreds of loved ones who are not smart enough to ask the question like you did that are sending all kinds of things they shouldn't be. Thanks for your consideration for all the mail that has to make it to the ship.

The messy soda wasn't me, I took the advice that it wasn't a good idea.
Last I new my brother hadn't received any mail yet since they have deployed. Praying he gets some in this arrival of mail because many pkgs have been sent his way.
? for anyone who ordered a NavyRackPack, have you heard if your sailor has received it yet? My brother told me he wanted one the day they deployed but I have been unable to get thru to the company to order and had questions so I didn't do online, have left messages but the company has not returned the calls. Wondering if I should keep trying or if there has been a big problem with the company as of lately?

My son received a package sent on Mar 24th but he didn't receive the two sent on March 10th. Hopefully they are still sorting mail.
Unfortunately, someone else sent soda in a package to their Sailor and it leaked all over and ruined many other packages. My sons box was a sticky soggy mess. He had to throw out the car magazine I sent him because it was ruined.
Hopefully the rest of the mail gets there soon.

Well, patience is definitely what's needed when we send packages to our sailors. My son just received the second box I sent on March 3rd :) He also said a baking company in Iowa sent them so many baked cookies. "It's amazing", he said. I think we have many happy sailors today :)

My sailor didn't even get a choice this round. He was due for sea duty and assigned him to the George Bush.

They can fly him off the ship if his orders have him transferring before the end of the deployment. They do that all the time.
He is going to go on CMS-ID and pick out what available jobs he is interested in and the detailer will assign him his next job. They don't always get a job they pick though.
