My sr called me yesterday morning. He said they are having problems with the Internet connection. He said there is always a 30 minute wait for a computer and then it's taking "like 20 minutes" to load email. He told me he has given up at this point trying to email us.
Rosemary, thank you for the information. I received an email on last night from my sailor requesting information. I provided the information and he did not response. I figured the communication was unstable.  Thanks again for the information. Respectfully,
Thanks ladies!  I rarely hear from my sailor :(, BUT its nice to know that there have been internet difficulties - LOL.  Seriously - sorry for all the frustrations that this has caused.  They don't have alot of down-time.  These wonderful sailors are either working or sleeping for a few hours. Hope things improve with the internet and we all receive news from our sailors!

My sailor complains about not being able to get in the internet and write his friends. I often have to remind him that just 15 short years ago when his Dad was in he had to write letters on paper and wait for snail mail. Usually works for a few weeks then back to the complaining. As, a joke I sent him pre stamped envelopes, pens and paper. Can't figure out why he hasn't written??? LOL LOL LOL Hope all are well and this cheers all up. P.S. I haven't heard from him since the ship deployed, but, am betting his g/f has : ).

I am soooooo glad I am not the ONLY mom that doesn't hear from her son!!!!   I feel lost and unloved......but like Kathy said - they are busy and doing such great things for their country!!!   glad to know the internet connection has issues at times - i will tell myself that is why I haven't seen him online in a few days and maybe I won't worry so much - lol

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Ronda

My son is on the GW. He calls maybe once a week, which is great, even with the time difference. We also communicate on FB. He says they are very busy most of the time.
