My son is on the Gravely for this deployment.   He was also one of the original crew, proud owner of a plank card.

Just wondering if any active members on here. I thought I would reach out now that Gravely has deployed

Hello - I am not sure.  There are not a lot of members.

Is anyone monitoring this site now?

Knitterjenn - the address I was given has one additional line than what is shown on their website.  Inbox me and I'll send it to you.

Comment by MoCityMom on October 27, 2014 at 8:58pm

Knitterjenn - the Gravely Ombudsman sent me an email about 2 weeks ago stating that the address has changed.  I'll check their website and let you know.

Denise - the message re: USS Gravely's address came from another mom who's daughter is new to the ship.  The Gravely Ombudsman sent me the new address via email.  I inboxed the mom who asked for the information.  If you want it, send me a friend request and I'll send it to you.

Good Morning - did anyone else just get a group message re: the USS Gravely's mailing address?  It's strange because I don't see the message here, but I got it in my email.

Hi Jeannie welcome to the group.  Regarding deployment, they are not scheduled to go out for awhile because the ship is currently still in maintenance, but deployment is always a possibility.  Their C.O. posts really good updates periodically on the Gravely Facebook page.  You have to request to be a member of that page, search for it as U.S.S. Gravely DDG 107.  Regarding the Christmas holidays, currently there will be two weeks available for leave, the week of Christmas and the week of New Year's.  Have him request soon because the sailors that were already on the ship put theirs in last month.  We visited our daughter last year during Thanksgiving but she had duty on Thanksgiving Day.
