Heard from my sailor.  He was enjoying some land time before heading back west.  I can't wait!

Greetings, has anyone received any info from the ombudsman??  I read the commandors post and he mentioned that we should expect an email.  My sailor said she gave the ombudsman my address a few weeks ago.

We are all truly blessed to live in an age where we can see pictures and even communicate with our loved ones who are overseas.  I can't imagine what it must have been like to live back in the days when a  letter could take weeks to arrive, if at all.  Stay strong, Gravely family.

I'm on cloud nine because the 6th Fleet Facebook site has a picture of our sailor.  I keep doing a happy-dance!  Can't wait til they can come home!  Praying for all the sailors and families.

We've heard from our sailor and despite the fact that their return has been delayed, he sounds very upbeat.  A highlight was a "steel beach" picnic where he actually got to do some cooking.  I'm so proud of all of them and what they do for all of us!

It's killing me! I hate to even watch the news......my sailor and I have quite the story, we met a week before his deployment and have been keeping in touch the entire time through emails, Skype, phone calls....and of course the care packages that I send him:) we have developed such a wonderful relationship....he needs to come home safe so that we can be together!

My daughter was deployed and arrived on the Gravely this past weekend.  She called Sunday and said the Internet was down but they allowed her to use the satellite phone to call us.
