Just got off the phone with my son. I didn't want to say anything that would make him feel sad. It's his first deployment so his excited. Wish I could be there to give him the biggest hug. I'll be doing a lot of praying.

? about mailing....i have my box all ready to go, got the boxes from the PO and then did a click to ship and got the address on as well as filled out the customs form. When i went to print it printed two pages with two identical labels on each page...so i have four labels that look the same to me, and it says to cut the page in half...so ...

does one go in the box, and one sheet is a 'receipt'????

does it matter which one?

i'm so confused.

1Bodyprof.  Just spoke with my airman too.  I'll be right there with you Psalm 121.

Just spoke to our Sailor for probably the last time in who knows when. He says the phones and computers get jammed up on ship and working 12 hour days 7 days a week it will be hard to communicate. I will be praying Psalm 91 for all onboard during their time away from us. Chinsup Navy!

This is going to be a tough day; not looking forward to the last phone call.

Yep, I'm not really excited about the last communication with my sailor today, I just know I have to be strong and very positive.  These sailors have been training hard for this, even though they are our babies, they are strong and will be fine.  Prayers out to all the sailors moms today!!!

Hello I am brand new to the group and have a question was wondering if someone here might have encountered a similar situation before. If a sailors orders go into effect for a squadron that is on deployment, would that sailor be flown out the carrier that his squadron is deployed on?

Texted with my son earlier and thought I was prepared, but when he discussed getting cell service suspended and putting truck in storage, it was so REAL! Last conversation tomorrow is gonna be hard.
