Hi all - Happy Wednesday!
Sherryl - have a fantastic time! Looking forward to seeing pictures ;-)
Thanks Jacob94mom - I just thought it would be nice if we could keep deployment info in one place so we don't have to scroll through comments!
For all you mom's going to watch the ship departure, thank you for saying you will share pics!
Hi ladies I will be heading to Norfolk tomorrow and be staying 6 days message me if you want to meet up
Sherryl
Will ABSOLUTELY post departure pictures if I can get them... Hopefully one when they "ring" the ship on departure. I'll send what I get. I'll be there representing all of you who cannot.
Happy Birthday to your son BoomMom!
I'm sure you'll have a wonderful visit with them ;-) I hope that your DIL has some friends/family there that can help out during this deployment....I'm sure it's going to be tough :(
When we were there last month I gave sailor some things to take to the ship (Christmas decorations, etc). He's been taking things over little by little. I guess I need to figure out when I'm going to send my first box! He keeps telling me not to send much lol!
Hopefully you can get some pictures of the ship leaving - if you do please share them here!
One day closer.....
Way cool, B'sNukeMom. Those are soooo special. We fly in tomorrow to spend our last days with them. New mom (daughter-in-law) is starting to struggle. Today is my sailor's 26th birthday... We will celebrate his birthday AND Christmas on Thursday (has duty tomorrow). I pray they leave early in the morning as our flight home is late that same night (now that it has been changed)... But we shall see. Hugs to all mamas, no matter what age your sailor is. Oh, I mailed my Thanksgiving flat-rate box (very heavy) today. I hope he gets it AFTER they leave but before Thanksgiving. Out of my hands out. Have a great day and I hope to see some of you soon.
i will send a package out this week for my sailor and I send the stockings dec 1st so far no problems with getting there on time fingers crossed this time too:)
suzyqnj2002 & BoomMom - my son bought his calling card on the ship. It is reloadable but I am still waiting for him to get me the info so I can reload it for him lol! Hopefully you can find one at the NEX. Just make sure it's the "Ship to Shore" card. (suzyqnj2002 - my son is a nuke MM)
