Hi Ladies, I love seeing the photos!  My son is doing well and happy to be back on base.  Enjoying some leave time now.  Hope to see him in Oct or possibly before if I get a chance to get out to Virginia.  Take care everyone.

Finally home. Tired but happy to have spend a few days with my sailor son.  The previous pic is Jbird, TootallJoan, and me at the Meet and Greet.  I will try to post the other pics too when I get some time.  :)

became a member of IKE for minutes, just long enough to say hi and such. dropped out as quickly as I popped in. I watched a you tube video of the making of the USS Gerald R Ford and that was fascinating. In speaking with a nephew, who is also enlisted and serving at Naval Station Norfolk, it sounds like the Ford won't be out on deployment for a while yet. The nephew I mentioned actually worked on the crew who Received the Bulkley down a bit from the Truman. Then he came and hung with us and watched the Truman come in. Pretty neat.

Annams-really? small world huh? Do the guys know eachother well? One of the mom's here on our Truman group lives about a half hour away from me and both our son's are on the Truman. different small towns though. I'm sure the IKE crew will give 'em hell too! Now that I think about it I wonder what IKE'S motto is. I wonder..... what if we visit the IKE page and let them mom's know we got their backs. I'm heading over, why not.

jbird, I feel the same.  Thank God Truman is back, but prayers for SS. Ike.  My friend's son is on that one, from our same little town in WI.

Just thinking about the crew of the IKE and all our military serving near the area of chaos. Prayers are covering you. I can't help but feel relief our Truman guys and girls are home safe.
