OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hi Jen! I love this site - it feels great to stay connected when our sailors and marines are so far away. I've received lots of good advice from other moms and dads.

Hi Shyla, my son reports that they've been working long hours, not much down time. Goes in cycles for him it seems. When things ease up we'll get more frequent mail :-)

Wendy, I'd like to chime in with Alwaysready - my package took over a month, all the address info was correct, used the flat rate box etc. I thought it was lost. Then what do you know, it arrived a few days ago. My son was so stoked his email was all caps... hang in there, it will get there I'm sure :)
