DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

The media will do anything if they benefit from it. And what's worse is that these are our Allies putting out these articles. But, it's all part of the system. We can only do our part.

ny, exactly! It also kind of amazes me all the stuff they put out on the internet...and in the media, everyone doesn't need to know everything all the time. It is nice to know so i have a better "idea" of what is going on but it just makes me wonder why it has to be out there.

@jde It's just when I was over there certain events stayed in my mind. When "they" would say threatening things over the sound-powered phones it showed they had no mercy for anyone. Whether on the ground or at sea anything can happen. And I believe people put themselves in a certain comfort zone when it comes to the Navy. This is the U.S. military and we work as a team. So, as a team we have to work together to keep each other safe no matter what our occupation is. Attention to detail

I believe you should, but it's already in the open space of the world wide web. I come from an intelligence background & OPSEC & Safety are top priority.

It's all over the internet, including facebook. As long as there's media there's no hiding what the ship is doing. But we all still have to practice OPSEC at all times.

Wow, a great Father's Day it is. Received a heartfelt e-mail from my wife, and a big hug & kiss from my son. It feels good to have so many people show their appreciation for Fatherhood. It makes it feel like there's still hope in society. I live my life to the fullest for my Wife & Son. They are the reason why I am a Father, Husband & forever a blessed man. I hope you all have a blessed and happy day. And I send my blessings to all Fathers on the Truman.
