For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yeah I heard that she left the day of deployment...lucky her! If it were me I know I would have gone crazy but afterwhile I'm sure they get used to it.

QuiltLady I think that is a great idea! I can, or anyone else can, add what I have already added and I'm sure there is a lot more ideas out there. I know I would personally love some new ideas.

Always... LoL.... i know what u mean.... and Sunshine... Mine took his laptop, ipod, cell phone (which is turned off), and external hard drive... all full of video games... LoL... I think I will send him some of his favorite movies though... so he can watched them on his laptop

oh and you can also send books(I would suggest paperback) or little travel sized board games like Checkers or something like that

My husband took the PSP, PS3, laptop and my Ipod so I know he will have a lot to keep him occupied!

private message... either an email or an instant message.. its not stupid btw... My husband was talking to me earlier and said... "Im so tired... and icky from working out.. after work... COD4 here I come!!"... I thought maybe is was a Navy term for like shower or bed... found out later... it's call of duty 4... a video game... lol!

Another suggestion but a little on the expensive side...I bought my husband a PSP before he left so when he is laying in his rack at night he can use it to watch a movie, play games, listen to music and look at pictures as well. I found out you could put pics on them and I loaded it down with them! :)
