jde-I have heard a lot that you can make cookies and/or brownies and put them in a plastic storage container or maybe even a ziploc...not sure on the ziploc but I'm sure it will work the same way! I think they will be fine. I sent a bag or cherry cordial hershey kisses to my husband last time...they melted but he still enjoyed every bit of them!

what is the direction of this group suzan? to discuss what we are feeling and if we need to be whiny so be it...feelings and opinions will all be different for everyone but we are all here to support one another through the ups and downs...you are a much stronger woman than I...i applaud u for that...we all miss our sailors and are trying to cope with them not being here and worrying...it might be useless worry but worry none the less

JDE2.... Put them in a hard tub-a-ware and fill it with marshmellows.. the marshmellow are like pakages peanuts in a sence... they will keep them from breaking as much... and keep the moister out... I've also heard sending them nyquill and dayquill because they are more then likely to catch a cold... being so close to everyone... and maybe some cards if the like cards.. or word puzzles.. things of that nature.. to keep them busy on their down time.

Ok, I apologize for the statement that I made. I was commenting on a post made earlier but just realized I looked at the wrong name. I have been there and know what everyone is going through and like I said before I am here to offer any support I can. There is always one person who tries to bring everyone down because they themselves are not happy and they think everyone around them should feel the same way. Again, my apologies :(

You must be a very unhappy person since you have to drag others down with you ..Were not stupid we know what the ship is and that they are working. We should be able to talk about what we want and get support from other moms and wife's and still be able to get information from this site... There always has to be one crab in the bunch that has to bring people down... But Im a better person then you and I support how everyone feels even if they are using this site as a hankie. Lets just get through this deployment and be nice... we have enough stuff to deal with then you dragging on us.

Thank you so much Suzann! I agree with you 100%. I thought this site was used to support and encourage each other, not knock each other down! I have been through 1 deployment already so I know what to expect but I am here to offer any support I can.
