Hello, I don't have a sailor on the USS Truman - but I had the good fortune to attend the homecoming in June 2008. A mom saw my clips on my page and thought I had a son here. She sent me this knife.
I thought I would "auction" it off in here - and use the money for the Adopt a Sailor program.

The knife is in the original package - The blade is stainless steel and 2.75" in length. The handle fram is also stainless steel and 4" in length. It is a pocket knife.
"There are monumental pictures on both sides of handle."
Great souvenier. I will also throw in a CD of the homecoming - with over 100 pictures on it. I don't know any of the sailors - but I got a few good shots - they may be your son, hubby or daughter (or wife).

I'm going to start a discussion in here for the "auction" - please go there to "bid."
How about until the end of Feb? That way people who don't get on often have a chance to see it!!!

Hi Susan!!! I'll NEVER forget YOU!! (1) you were the very FIRST Navy mom I met in PERSON (real life) and (2) YOU HELPED ME SEE THE TRUMAN HOMECOMING!! Watching the Sailors "man the rails" has always been something that I loved to see - and thanks to Susan - I did get to see it in person - up close and personal!!!

Thanks - I hope his mom, wife or girlfirend gets a copy. I love it also.
I have many more if your Sailor was on the Truman in June's homecoming.
Have you read the blog on my page about the homecoming?

I was priviledged to get to attend the homecoming of the Truman in Norfolk, Virginia in June of this year. I have a couple hundred pictures. There are a few in a blog on my page. If anyone is interested in seeing the rest of them - just PM me your email address and I can send you a link to either Wal-Mart Photo's or Shutterfly Photos. There is one GREAT one that I absolutely LOVE. I really wish I could find this Sailors mom, wife or girlfriend!!
The pictures are on a blog about "Daddy's first Hug"
