B'sNukeMom~ I love the pendent!
I heard from my sailor early this morning via FB messenger. He is doing well and very ready to be "home" along with everyone else. So great to chat with him.
Have a good week!
BNuke's Mom: Yes it does fill my heart with happiness for him. All you Navy Moms and Dads, there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. That is why there are some of us whose child (ren) have gotten out that stay on this site. To let you know there is life after the service, and that it's a good one because of the time they have served. They are reaping their rewards-free College education. I won't be seeing my son for 6.5 weeks but you all know that's nothing compared to a Deployment and a whole lot less worrying too. NMH's for you ALL!
Aw Carol Ann - that's awesome! Mine will officially be a college student come August 22nd. He's very much looking forward to it (go figure lol!). Sounds like a great opportunity for your son to study abroad - and nice that he'll be able to see friends & family while there too ;-) It definitely makes a momma's heart feel good to see them so happy <3
BNuke's mom: Bet you are loving seeing your son! Mine finished his 2nd year at OSU (finals last week) and was home Tues-Sat. Fri. night we watched his older sister graduate from college (finally--she's 36) and then Sat morning my husband drove him to airport. He'sstudying abroad in Germany and we won't see him for about 6.5 weeks. He speaks fluent German and has always wanted to spend some time there. He will be doing that for 4.5 weeks, then looking up some relatives on my husband's Mom's side, then visiting with an old buddy in Austria for about 2 wks. So he is enjoying himself right now. Monday night he had a picture posted on his FB page showing him in a beer garden drinking a tall dark beer and smiling a big smile. This Momma is lovin' it seeing him fulfill a dream!
Donna...glad to hear you heard from your son! It is so good to hear their voices! So nice to keep in touch with packages and emails and calls! We are on the downhill side and things are looking up! Happy Tuesday!
Happy Belated Mother's Day to everyone!! I just heard from my son!!! It's the first phone call I've gotten since he joined the Truman. It's so good to hear his voice and know he's okay.
