Hi all - Happy RED shirt Friday!
Sailor & his roommate both made it back to NY last night (midnight). Now their plan is to head to VA Saturday morning - they are going to leave at 2am! They want to get there in time so they can get their apartment taken care of. Praying for safe travels for them - I know that VA has been having some extreme weather....
Thanks too tall for the info. Our sailor leaves today to head back to NY to get his car & then he will be driving to VA tomorrow. Been a whirlwind 3 weeks at home but we've sure enjoyed our time with him! I'm not looking forward to the drive home from the airport today :( (hubby couldn't get off work so I have to go alone).
I know he has made contact with his sponsor so once he gets settled in I'm hoping he'll get his CVN75 email & he can get us added to the mailing list for the newsletter. I'm looking forward to finding out as much as I can about the Truman.
Too Tall... How does one get on the email list for the newsletter you mention? I'd like to have a way of staying connected to what's going on in addition of the awesome posts on this site. Thanks again.
too tall. Thank you sooo much for the information. Not sure what they can tell me, but it will certainly be more than I have/know. I appreciate your help. I hope they can make friends or she can meet another pregnant sailor's wife.
Hi ladies, I was taking to my son yesterday and I asked him how can I send him a care package to the ship. He said he didn't know that he was going to find out. So I thought maybe you guys can help me out. I appreciate any info you can give him regarding this matter. Thanks a bunch.
BNukeMom....thanks. Yep he is a hansome fella....inside and out. I LOVE his smile...it is about a mile wide....
Hey Too Tall. Thanks. He is doing sooooo good...sooo proud of him.
I have sent request for housing to Maui....4/ places...all with waiting lists. Soooooooo.....a waiting game ensues. Still mixed feelings....love living in NJ....but sometimes, one must make decisions based on reality.....ha
GrandmaBarB - what a fine looking sailor you have there! BZ to him on his marriage, his new car & on making PO3.
JacobMom - woohoo! BZ to your sailor on passing his final exam. I hope you are able to make it to the graduation - be careful & safe travels!
too tall Joan - thanks for posting those #'s for the ombudsman. So tell me, for what reasons would we contact them? Is this just something that I pass on to my son or do parents ever have a reason to contact them (I just want to make sure that when the time comes for deployment that I am on whatever email list I need to be on to get updates!). This part is all new to me LOL.
