I just found out my son is on the USS Hopper for boot camp. He left August 14th and I still have not heard from him other than the call when he arrived.
Son will be heading to the USS Hopper this spring. Any Mom have advice
my son got his orders to be headed to the USS Hawaii after he graduates his Sonar school in Groton October 29th .... would love any insight to the the Sub world and so forth...I am excited for my son since his first pick was to be stationed in hawaii after school.... exciting for him to be moving on with his navy Life!
I haven't been on here in a while, but my son just made it out to Hawaii finally. He finished school in San Diego and arrived in Hawaii on the 4th of July. He is doing well and enjoying it so far... I hope everyone is doing well! Welcome Proud Navy Dad - where is your son right now? Donna, I am actually not on FB so this is all I have for now. Hoping to get a Hawaii trip planned for next summer! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Our son just got orders to join the USS Hopper in Hawaii on July 23.
Hi Donna, thank you! I am not sure of all the details, he just told me he would be at Pearl Harbor and on the USS Hopper. He will be a GM. What questions should I ask him? I want to understand as much as I can about what he is doing... He is very happy about going to Hawaii and that is what matters! He is definitely done with the crazy winter in GL and so ready to be out of there. I am already trying to figure out a way to get myself to Hawaii also so let me know if you get any good info about a trip out there! :)
Are there public Pearl Harbor ceremonies today in HI?
