PattiJ--I too got a call at work yesterday from my son!  I was the same way--didn't know what to say--just wanted to hear him talk.  Ryan sounded very tired--I think the last week was stressful.  But he's happy to have a few days on the ground & was going to get ice cream--a treat for him!  He hasn't received any mail yet...anyone know why it's taking so long for their mail & packages to catch up with them???

AngieWski--thank you so much for printing this article.  I love hearing about what our sailors are doing while they are away from us.  Awesome job on finding a good story!  I appreciate it so much!

I got a call from my son from Thailand--then nothing till I got an e-mail yesterday.  He said it's very hard to get on a computer with internet access during peak times.  Ryan is very busy & seems to be loving what he is doing.  He's commented on the smooth sailing so far.  I'm so proud of him & that he's getting to see the world.  My prayer is that all our sailors--especially those on the Hopper are safe!

Im so mad at myself. I missed my sailors call while I was in the shower this morning. She said she was using the ship phone... She was ok and just said I Love you... I saved the message and have listened at least 10 times already :)

She said she has written 13 letters so should be a fun find in the mail box one day.  Probably out of stamps now....   We called the ship phone back, but found out she was on liberty... so now the phone is glued to me.... :)

Everyone have a great day!
