I miss my daughter too!  I wish I had an email from her, but PattyJ  explains probably why.... she is putting in long days with little sleep...

I have saved a message from her on my phone, so when I feel the need to hear her voice I play it over and over and sometimes over again:)

Prayers to the Hopper and us Navy Moms-- may we find strength and courage as well.

Have a nice Sunday all !

believe it or not , she is undesignated... she has until after deployment to strike for a rate. Pretty cool. She has not done food duty, but she stated that was coming up. She is still qualifying for guns. But My word -- May 9 will be her Navy 6 month anniversary.
Hope all are well! God Bless the USS Hopper crew.

Hi All: .

.

my daughter called just before leaving their last port.  She bought a disposable , pay as you go phone so that seemed to work for her. So nice to talk with her. She was very excited cause she was able to steer the ship for 6 hours, and qualifying on the guns, and doing watches. She said mom, " I feel so good about myself right now." that made me very happy.  Hope all is well with your sailors

Im very worried about roaming charges.... Is there a phone on the ship? I can send my daughter some calling cards instead of using her phone... She said they would be setting sail again Wed ( today ) sometime.

Jan I will ask when she calls again...hopefully that will be soon. Its 9:15am Wed. 27 April her time.

Got a call from our son at 1am this morning.  I don't mind getting up for that call!  So good to hear his voice.  He's doing well--just sounded tired.  I hope you all get calls from your loved ones...have a great day!
