Navy wife Katy Tackett just got the big surprise that she is pregnant with twins, her husband is Matthew Tackett and will not be home for the babies delivery which is early October. They had just moved into a house before he left and as you know it is always an exciting thing getting ready for your first baby and now that they found out they are having twins they are really excited BUT then they have this OMG how will I be able to get every thing we need for 2 when 1 was going to be hard enough being that it was unexpected.

So Maddie and I had an idea of posting their information here (with permission of husband and wife) and asking anyone interested to join us in an internet Baby Shower for the couple. Below I have written where they are registered and their address is Kathryn and Matthew Tackett 602 Grantham Rd
Norfolk, VA 23505. If you can't purchase some thing off the gift registry just words of encouragement would be great. If any of you have had twins and can share organizing idea or any advice she would love to hear from you. If you sew or knit there is nothing sweeter than knit booties, blankets and sweaters.

Some of you know It is hard enough being a Navy wife and having you husband gone for long periods of time but when you find out you are pregnant before your husband leaves then find out it is twins after he has left WOW thats allot for her to take care of.

For the longest baby shower I was hoping anyone who wants to help knit booties and baby clothes, blankets and she is registered at
Target and Babies R Us under Kathryn/Matthew Tackett. Like I said they are a new couple so they are starting to build this family from scratch so every thing is needed. My thought behind the baby shower starting now was so she could be getting baby things and setting up for the babies to keep her busy, keep her mind off where her husband is and cheer her up when she is missing her husband and let her know she has this huge group/JD Family here to welcome those babies into the world.

Like I said just a letter of congrats, some thing home made or some thing on their registry they are starting from scratch, need and will appreciate any thing you offer.

One baby is a Boy and the other they could not see but will be checking again in a week or so, I will keep you updated.

They both are on Facebook if you would like to talk to them.

Thanks for reading,

Paula and Maddie

Hi

Last I heard I think they are scheduling a C section 9/28 because the babies are not in the right position to deliver. Here is a link to the facebook group where we all have been keeping up with pictures I am so amazed with the ultrasound pictures they have today you can see the features of the babies it is amazing compared to when I had kids. She posted the video of when she pound out she was having twins a friend was with her for the ultrasound and videotaped it, it made me cry...LOL

I wished I lived closer and got to know you all everyone is so wonderful and supportive to one and other.

Take care and God bless our kids and husbands!!!!!

Update please.  bluemoon

Sorry it's been awhile since she gave us an update. Her mom was in town for a while and she was  pretty busy.

No kiddos yet, regardless of lots of walking.

Official 100% Csection date is set for October 22nd at 12:30.

This was the last update I got. She was suppose to have the babies at the end of September so her mother and sister were here this whole time then the doc figured the due date was off and postponed the cesarian until 10/22

I remember those waiting games at the end of pregnancy. I never went into labor with each of my kids so I would walk and walk and walk all through Sam's Club because it was so cold in there and I lived in Florida. I would dream at night of what they would look like, oh I just loved being pregnant and wish I has more kids than I did.
