I sent my son a package 6 weeks ago and he still has not received it.  Is this normal?

Have anyone been earring much from the kids?

My son tried talking to me 2 nights ago but he lost connection twice then he did not come back. He got the important stuff in like that he was doing good he loved us and the best news was he got to see his fiancé who is on another ship. They sent him to her ship to pick some supplies up and she was the one there to lower the supplies down!! Sounded like they both were totally surprised and it was just what he needed... He was sounded so happy and when my kids are happy mommy is happy!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Jenna you are so creative he is a lucky guy!

I posted under the discussion forum above pages of ideas that were sent to me by someone from another ship. She said it was a combination of ideas wives, girlfriends, moms and families have suggested over the years. I found it really fun to read. There was one I liked if I were a wife or girlfriend and not a mom. I don't have it right here but it was some thing about TELLING YOU ABOUT MY DAY or maybe WEEK where she took pictures of waking up, having coffee and her daily routine talked about it and documented it in pictures but making it like a story this would be great with kids too. Some thing tells me a husband would really hearing and feeling a bit of the home routine.

The list is long but it has some great ideas along with links to purchase some things they found the sailors liked getting.

I don't ship from Norfolk but it has typically been taking my sailor around 2 weeks to get a package.  I think it depends on when you send the package compared to when they are due for a mail drop.  Overall I've been impressed with the speed of mailing a package considering all it has to go through to get to the ship.

Hi all and Welcome to the new people!

I saw an advertisement on this site for a phone app called America's Navy and I checked it out and really thing it would be a big help especially for us that are new..... Well I am 2 yrs in but I still don't know so much especially the lingo I get lost when my son is telling me some thing and using Navy terms, describes each rank, explains what each color bar is on their uniform..... Every thing  you can imagine including news!!!

I think it is awesome so glad I saw the ad on this site a must have for sure!!!
