Thanks Ronda! Already there in praying mode.
We have received pictures from our son. They all look healthy and working (hehehe) hard. Does anyone know some stretches for sciatica? Since there are no meds that a sailor can take, he is getting through it but......well you know us moms. bluemoon54@q.com

Here are 4 recent pictures. I hope the unrep they were receiving included mail! This link goes to a facebook album, I hope everyone can see the pictures.
Welcome aboard picardirox06! My husband has just been on the ship a month, and this is his first deployment in a long time, having had a break in service and recruiting for a number of years. When he got to the ship, it took several days for him to set up his ship email. As an LPO, he has had pretty consistent email access since. I would guess your husband will too once he gets his email set up. The internet has so far not been available very much as that is restricted to help keep the movement/location of the ship quiet. There are several sites you can go to that occasionally post photos of the ship. One is if you like "Commander, Carrier Strike Group Eight" on FB. I think one of the others is a link off of navy.mil. Congratulations on your new marriage and on your husbands graduation from supply school!
Me too. It's a great story! Wish we were closer and we could get a group to go out in our tshirts. Wouldn't that be somethin'.
Love your story, MissMySailor!! I've been wearing my shirt quite proudly too. My sailor is also proud to be on the JD!!!
Hi all,
I wore my comfy JD T-Shirt out today to lunch to a small diner. I was so proud too. I could tell people were trying to read my chest and back.... When I was leaving I stood up and pulled my shirt down so it was easier to read and I did the yeah that's right my son is on the USS Jason Dunham and it's a bad ass ship with a bad ass crew strut out the door!!! LOL
I am so proud of him and so glad he is assigned to this ship. He and I have made some really good friends here and that makes times like deployment a little easier.
Does anyone know how deployed sailors can vote? I presume the only way to do it is to get them an absentee ballot from their home voting precinct.
Tshirts do shrink ladies! My lrg is fine but my husband's lrg.....well, let's just say it shrank. But I must admit we really don't care, it's the thought that counts. Right? Ronda, nice to have the connection. So somebody...tell me about this 'main room'. It looks private as far as the people on it.......but I'm still pretty much a fb communicator.
Got an email from our son after several days of not hearing from him! He seems good - we are still praying for his and everyone's safe return! I am so thankful for this site - for all of the info - for hearing from others that are in the same boat, etc. It definitely helps. Thanks all! God Bless!
