Received 2 lines from my son this morning. It just said that they've "been very busy". But I must say that a photo would be nice. Hang in there Moms. We are all here to hold on to you.

I have been feeling sad and missing my son so very much.  I haven't had an email in 5 days. Over the weekend I went shopping and put together a package to send off tomorrow. I am so proud of them all! Hopefully we will get some info or see more photos posted soon.

Just wanted to voice that I have been very down in the dumps the past couple of days. Probably cause I haven't heard anything from my son. I'm sure he is very busy. Anyways, I'm glad I can come here to vent. In some way it makes me feel a little better. Hope everyone is well. Thanks...Heidi

This is my second day to wear The tshirt. It is comforting, kinda. My husband received an email around 3 a.m. saying there are good days and bad days but things are going well. Spending time in the gym, our sailor is not a skinny rail anymore. He does seem to enjoy that.

It was great to message with my son tonight. He was tired but things seemed to be going well. He appreciates all the prayers... and snacks! He, too, feels he's on the best ship and ready to do his job. I'm thankful he's surrounded by so many caring, dedicated people!

My husband just flew out to the ship a month ago.  He was on a ship before we married 20 years ago.  He got out of the Navy for a few years, then went back in and was a Recuiter for quite a while.  So this is my first time to have him away like this.  Knowing he is in God's hands makes all the difference in the world. But of course I still miss him, and I wish I lived nearer to Norfolk and could meet up with some of the other Navy wives who can relate. In rural Wisconsin now, moving to VA in June. Keeping busy helps! :)

It is so nice to have other mothers that we can relate to. Esp nice to have wifeofafc as a contact. I personally feel closer to you all right now as we travel this course and will continue to look to you for support. My dogs can be comforting, as can my husband but not quite like you. :}  Jane

We are all worried because that is what we do, since the ship left and no matter where they would be on the water we would normally worry but always pray for safe return.

When ever I talk to a friend who's child or husband is at sea I always say God Bless him or I am always praying for him.

So yes our ship is out there yes we always need to pray for them until the return I think the crew would pass along "don't worry we got this" I know my son would. He has told me many times that he felt he has gotten the best training and they are ready to handle what comes along. I think those passing messages from the ship are passing on the sentiment/confidence of the crew. I know I would rather have a confident command saying don't worry just keep up the prayers than one that would say worry and pray for us we need it!!!

I understand and I am so grateful for the information given to us. Sue and Valerie thank you for being there for us I know that not all ships are this family friendly and you both do allot for us.

I GOT MY T-SHIRTS AND HOODIE TODAY AND THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
