Hi, I am Louise, the mom of Alex on the Jason Dunham .this is his and my first deployment. I have sent him a couple of care packages already, but not really sure what I should be putting in them . I know favorite snacks is a no brainer, but what else? I sent some card games etc, a couple of magazines . any great ideas? He loves ramen noodles- but can he cook them? what about toiletries? movies? video games? He is a spook so doesnt seem to be able to tell me much - suggestions?

Just to introduce myself I am the mom of six including a set of triplets who are 13, one son 15, one son on the Dunham and a daughter 23 . married to my current husband James 19 years. Live in rural Texas- about 60 miles from Houston .

Look on Facebook: US Naval Forces Europe-Africa/US Sixth Fleet, Commander Carrier Strike Group Eight (CCSG-8). There are several other Navy pages as well.

So glad the Navy can get what we couldn't. LOL

Too funny, Bluemoon! I saw my son carrying jack staff in a pic from June. He usually turns or puts his hand up when he sees a camera. He couldn't do either one and I got a wonderful picture of him!

That's my baby! Oops, my son. Cleaning a window on the chopper. Never cleaned one at home growing up. It's amazing isn't it Moms?

Thanks all.  I had it happen once early on...but then it went through.  Kalee's Mom I'm assuming it must be something on their end....not glad yours bounced back but glad to know I'm not the only one.  I'll try again...  I miss being able to pick up the phone and call.   Thanks again all.

Hi DOubt, I have also had my emails bounce back undeliverable recently (since Saturday) and have double checked the email. I have also tried resending. Kinda frustrating but trying to be patient. I believe it must be certain locations.

Hi Navymom9875, I did have an e-mail returned undeliverable then I tried 2 days later and it wen through. Not sure why maybe depends on what they are doing. I just wanted to let you know so you did not worry too much. Take care
