I am so happy for you!!! My son called Saturday and I was so happy I had a silly grin all day!!!
Just to hear their voices brings so much happiness!!!
Heard from my sailor this Sunday....made my day!
So happy for you guys when you get to hear their voices! Nothing like it in the world. Some days I miss mine more but I go back to pictures he has on fb and talk to his wife. It does make me feel closer. :>)
This is a nice video about the ship and it's namesake:
I know what you mean!! My son called today and it was the best feeling in the world! It was just so nice to hear his voice. He sounded great. He also said he got a cell phone with a sim card. Sounded like he was having fun in the ports!! Very happy 4 you!! :-)
My son called me it was sooooooo nice!!!!! I just loved hearing his voice and he was so sweet!!! One of his friends brought a sim card for his cell phone and asked my son if he would like to use his phone to call me. Was that a nice guy or what???
Thats what I am talking about with this ship it is a family and everyone really has each others back. I was so excited when my son said he had to go I asked to speak to the man who let him use his phone I told him that was the nicest thing someone could do and if I could send money for the call he said no way we always help each other out. So I told his I am going to send an awesome goodie box and he can help him self.
I am on cloud nine it was so good to hear his voice but he was laughing and really sounded happy!!! What more could a mom ask for right...
Take care!!!!!
Lots of cool pictures and articles every day on Navy.mil and navylive.dodlive.mil
Every morning I get my coffee do a search for the ship and read...LOL I can't keep up on every thing. I will take all I can get in case it get's quiet. Miss my baby!!!
I am so proud to be a Navy mom!!!
Heard from son yesterday! Says they are all very busy....:-)
Always a joy to see the conversation on this site! Please call or email me if you ever need anything. I am attaching an article below entitled, "Things I Wish I Had The Courage To Say During Deployment." You don't have to necessarily agree with all she writes but I appreciated her honesty. Hope you enjoy!
