Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to touch base and let you all know if you placed an order for the Family Shirts I am closing orders out this week. I was going to do Wednesday but  with today being a holiday and mail not being able to go out I will accept checks till Saturday and then thats it. So if you placed an order and haven't sent payment yet please do so. I may or may not do another order in January. It will depend on how many requests I have for them.

Thank you ladies!

Katie

We've heard from our son. Sounds like all is well and pretty much repetitive. He gets up around 4:30 a.m. their time to try to chat w/us and his wife. Hang in AA!

My sister and family in Providence live in city, high up on a hill. They still have power and received their mail yesterday. But I have seen pictures of all the sand from beaches that have washed up into towns. At least in Houston it was a common accurance. Pray Norfolk is alright.

Hello Everyone,  I've been away for a while but glad to see everyone is getting the opportunity to speak with their Sailors.  I'm excited about the Christmas theme packages.  Not sure what my theme is going to be but I'll figure it out.  It will be a little easier during the holidays knowing that they are getting to share some fun together.

I did finally receive a phone call from my son.  Talk about being excited.  He was great and said everything was going well.  He was awarded Blue Jacket of the Year....imagine the glow I put off hearing that....lol

Take care all and hope everyone is safe and sound.  My thoughts and prayers are going out to all those affected by "Sandy".

As a friend of teachers, I have some 5th graders putting together a box of snack stuff and cards, etc. Can't wait to see what they come up with. My husband and I will probably do one too. It should be real fun to see what all of us come up with.

Stay safe on the east coast. Know what it's like after living outside Houston.

Hi all missing my sailor really bad this week. Went out with 9 of my friends today and all they kept saying was what's wrong smile do some thing........ I was having fun a blast in fact, I did not realize it is I wear my heart on my sleeve.

I did get the notice about the raffle boxes. I was bad I was not going to do it because we had expenses this month but you know we have it better than they do and when I think of them my gosh to be so far from family I could have slapped my hand for thinking of NOT sending a box...LOL So tomorrow my husband and I are going to our favorite store Big Lots they have really recent movies, name brand head phones for 5 bucks my daughter went crazy there last week and got $40 in movies and they were good ones I am thinking of a male movie box and a chick flick movie box then add popcorn candy headphones I am sure you do not want to read my shopping list.  LOL

Any East coasters be safe!!!
