OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I also got a call from my son this morning, he sounds good. The only thing he complained about was the heat. Always so good to hear his voice.

I am hoping to get there. It really depends on when they are coming in. Does anyone have a date for their arrival? This is my son's first deployment so I would love to go, would be fun.

Amen to that Grace - I am from New York and know too many people affected by that tragedy - I can not believe it is nine years already. I remember that day as if it was yesterday.
