Hi--I was out of commission pretty much of 3 days. So if you have any questions about our Molly's Adopt a Sailor, let me know. Otherwise, it looks like some of our other Moms have been there to jump in.
We love your families, and appreciate all your sailors are doing for us.
Pat,
He has until the 15th of this month to turn his names in for the Tiger Cruise.
Sindy--never too late as we do this every month if you catch the Mollys Adopt A Sailor bug.
You can do it one of two ways. One is to take the 44-45" wide fabric, run a 1/4 inch hem, then fold that up another 4 or so inches to make a nice deep hem. Then, to encase all the stitching, sew it first in the L shape (you're only doing a top and one side seam, because you are folding the fabric in half) with wring side together, then turn inside out and resew the same seam. I use about 1/4 inch seam first time, then a little larger the second time.
The other is to cut separate hems and bodies. These instructions have pictures with them. http://www.operationsupportfordeployedmilitary.org/PCDir.php
If you have any other questions, just send me a message.
youtube--we have some videos under Mollys Adopt a Sailor.
jlk2z7, you can still participate even now with one box . We have the group page Molly's Adopt a Sailor. We are stocking Holy Joe's Cafe. Coffee, gum, sunflowerseeds, etc. I can provide the link later, but have to go to church.
