OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

what is the pillow packing? I dont know what this it. I wish I lived close to one of the locations though, I would absolutely love to help with anything that would help with our sailors and marines. WV is just a little too far to drive.

What kinds of things will go into these pillows?

Ladies, for those of you that are participating in the pillow cases (KUDOS) could you please take pictures and send to the Ombudsman.  We will make sure that the MCC gets them and lets the Command know how much work and care that you have put into this.  It fills me with joy to know that you are doing something so wonderful!

I agree with everyone.  We were lucky not to see any of these people.  All people want to do is bury their loved ones.  As bad as these people are, it is heartwarming to see the people who come out in support of the military.  The weather was below 20 degrees and there were even people on bikes, braving the cold and ready to rev the bikes in case these horrible people showed up.  Americans do care and they are thankful for the sacrifice.

My feeling is that if the press would stop covering them, and the guardian angels and similar groups would continue to surround and insulate grieving families, this hate group would fade away.  They are simply looking for a platform, and it makes me ill to see them on tv and know that they have gotten what they want.

That's not freedom of speech this excuse for a church is doing. This is harassment. I wish I was there with you runnermom. Your a better person than me if you can ignore them.
