I only got a quick email from my daughter and did not expect a call. If she called anyone it would have been her husband. I wish that I too got longer emails but she always sounds so busy and quick short emails are better than none. I know that her shop is busy and they are short handed so I don't care. Just hope that she got a nice break. Sorry to hear about the camera Julie and pray that it is recovered. Is everyone ready for Christmas? I have to work Christmas night from midnight to 6 AM and then we are having family dinner at our house the 26th.

I know what you all are saying.  I see posts on FB to my son's girlfriend, but very little to us.  I guess some things never change.  I'm sure if they needed something, we'd get our calls.  Oh well, no news is good news.  Have a good day everyone!

Wish I can edit my comments. I meant to say tomorrow is her turn because it's night over there now.

So we talked to my daughter this morning for almost 40 minutes. That's like a hundred bucks. I don't care. We'll find a way. It was nice not having that 4 second delay though. The phone call sounded like she wasn't far at all.
Yesterday a group set out to see some camels she told us. They weren't able to ride but they took a lot of pics. Today is her turn! She says she'll try to see if they can ride.
She took a lot of pics but told us she'll have it when she returns. She used up a 4 gig card already. That's like 2 thousand pics or 2 hours of video I think but she received her other 4 gig card.
But best of all, everyone is okay and the Navy is taking extra precautions that everyone will stay safe.
I feel so much better. This is actually their fun time.

I just don't like that just north of there is Saudi Arabia.

Can't delete my comment for some reason. Just quoted my Daughter's cell phone rate if she was to use her phone to call us.
Comment by Largefilipino on December 19, 2010 at 5:59pm
Well it's $2.49 a minute. 50 cents per text. Picture message is $1.30.
I really don't care.

Well maybe if the FB site would post some recent pics I may feel a little better.

I would assume so. I would also like to hear how our sailors are taking Liberty there. Are groups of four a safe number? They are so close to dangerous land who's to say where they are aren't teaming with people wishing to do harm?
Sorry. I know my girl can take care of herself but this is stressing me out.
