I know that when the ship is in port, some people have to stay aboard.  Does everyone get to have liberty, but in shifts?  Thanks for any information.

I'm over here calling my daughter's cell phone. It's still off. Anyone know when our sailors can have their phones?

Got read this from the Marine site:

26th Marine Expeditionary Unit;
During a port visit it is okay for our Marines and Sailors to say where they are. Telling people when they are leaving during a port visit should not be released. Prior to getting to a port they or our families should not release our arrival dates or where the port visit will happen. The 26th MEU public affairs / combat camera team is well versed in releasable information and will safeguard our Marines and Sailors.

They basically said where they are now. This kinds of disturbs me but at the same time I know they are keeping everyone safe.

I'm the the Us Navy site on facebook and some of our sailors are returning home from long deployments. Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy for them. They are our hero's and I'm glad they will come home.
But at the same time,I'm sad.
USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75)
USS Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group (PEL ARG)
That's it so far.
My question.
I think we all know what that is.
We'll get thru this.

Thanks Pat-Zac's Mom.  As soon as I opened my email, there was the Summit.  I had just emailed the ombudsman a few days ago.  It's so nice to see the pics, my son was lucky enough to have his pic in one already.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Pat-Zac;s mom I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing when I read the two summits today!

Welcome to the group runnermom. Did not get a Summit either. I know one day not too long ago they didn't send it out but thought they had and we got two the next day. Happy late birthday, Sissi.

The ship did not send one today.  Hopefully, there will be two instead of one for tomorrow.
