What a day! My Grandson is 2 years old and is very sick in the ICU in Orlando Fl. I e-mailed my son and he e-mailed me today and said Not to worry that he as faith that Logan will be fine that he is a fighter and when he gets to be his age he will be a strong young men! At some point my son grow-up to be a very wise man! Faith a very strong word! It took My Son so many miles from Home to remind me to have faith that all will be fine!!

Right now I'm thinking our sailors need an extended Liberty after all this.
My little girl is my hero.

I haven't writtten here in quite awhile but I check in with all of you everyday just by reading the posts. This is my dauthter's third deployment on the Kearsarge and it has been her worst by far. I have only heard from her via email six or so times. She has not sounded like her usual upbeat self in ANY of them! That makes it especially hard as a mom. Yesterday was especialy heart breaking when she wrote about their Thanksgiving meal - it didn't have any of her favorite foods (mashed potatoes & stuffing) which only made her dislike for this deployment even stronger. AND she was going to call home but we weren't there so I missed that too! I really wish I could just hug her right now. I can hardly think of her these days without crying. =( I just want her to be happy but she's NOT. I try to be encouraging anyway and let her know how much I believe in her and know that she can do this. And I try to remind her of all that she has to look forward to when this is over. God be with them all AND us!!

Hello everyone! It is so hard to know how to be Sissi. I know just how you feel. I would like to think we should keep happening. I just don't know. I feel guilty too. I just feel like crying at the top of a hat it seems. Robert is so down and angry he isn't home. He is mad at me,because I want to encourage him to do things on ship. I am proud of him and he don't want me to be. I am just so used to trying to bring the people around me up and he just basically don't want much to do with anything at all that has anything to do with positiveness. I am to the point where I don't know what to even say to him. He is really mad at me right now about it. Crying is just so easy right now. He has been like this most of the deployment and I have tried to watch what I say to him. Any advice ladies and gent? Have a Great Turkey Day!!

I too will keep all of our Navy family in my thoughts and prayers. As I will each of you on here. I wish All of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving Day. I will be very busy during the Holidays. It has been a little harder this Holiday to keep myself up. But, I know that with all of you here I can do it.

Happy Thanksgiving Mom ! Sorry I haven't been on for a few days.. i had to set up a whole new accout (long frustrating story) and I finally passed the test again.. lol.. I can understand all your feelings about Korea. My son( not Navy) is teaching English over there, and of course since my "kids" are from Korea, we have this "connection" plus son's Korean girlfriend and family, our former exchange son and family and also a friend of the family who is also teaching English.. Our family will keep all in our prayers this holiday season and of course through out the year.
