Julie,

I so hope your dog is still ok and you didn't have to let the dog go. I wanted to let you know that I am in a similar situation and you are not alone.

Our 9 year old Jack Russell has epilsepy and bad arthritis. When he was 3 or 4 years old, the vet said he wouldn't last but a couple of more years because he has seizures. So we are thankful he has lasted this long.

He is missing his marine that is on the Kearsarge with your daughter. We have prayed that he will live until our boy gets home. But if something does happen to him, we have decided not to let our son know until he gets home. I know it is tough to not be totally honest with our children while they are gone. But I honestly think it is best not to burden them with something they have no control over.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Julie so sorry to hear about your dog. We just had to have ours put down in July Dustin was on an underway and i waited until we got to Norlfolk in August to tell him in person. He was glad i didnt tell him while he was out. and i did it in person. You know your daughter best and how she will handle the news. Hope all goes well its not easy. Hugs Tammy

1)What is FRG? and what exactly are the Tshirts for?The ones for the First hug and stuff like that?
2) Any news on the other Tshirts with Kearsarge on them?
Thank you ladies and gentleman...for you help with these questions.

I have asked the FRG to send us an email with all of the tee-shirt information. I do not think they know that everyone is not on Face Book.

I don't know if we can link here. We cannot link at the FB site it's pretty important there. On the search bar on your facebook page just search Kearsarge and there you are! You'll want to join the (LHD3) and the Ombudsman corner. I also joined the FRG. Actually waiting on the merchandise but it all looks pretty good.
