Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So how does it work if you read an article where our ship is at and there's a share link on the bottom for facebook? I'm reading if just ONE person slips up THE ENTIRE SHIP will go back to River City 1.
It's sad really how we have to protect our children from those that wish us harm.
And I'm a little angry at the Media always trying to find the news. News that may compromise our kid's safety.

Like you guys said I can breathe again. Now, I am looking forward to the next one. I am just glad they are all safe. Well, everyone have a great weekend. Glad that everyone is hearing from their LO's.

I miss him so much, and just keep reading it over and over again.and then the crying begins. I kind of feel like I am back to square one and he is writing letters from bootcamp! Oh well he made my day I am just glad he is safe. I love you Adam J, stay safe for me!
