Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It was hard on us when the Kearsarge left for deployment early because our daughter was to have a 10 day leave. She hasn't been home to Colorado since Christmas of last year. I think when this deployment is over at least I can get my wife to be there in VA. Thank You for this forum. I'm a Navy Dad but even Dads worry about their little girl. And thanks for this MotoMail info. Just sent one out. So what do you guys put in your care packages?

Ladies. Go to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Units FB page there is some awsome photos of the ship. There are 3 different sets. just browz through them. some of them going through the canal are beautiful.

all of my motomail has gone through also, On the fbpage that the Marines have . said that when they are in RC the moto mail cant be sent. so that is why it took so long for our letters to go out. my last letter i wrote last night and it went throught also so hopefully they will all go through sooner now.

Julie, they can not use the NEX cards on ship. The ship uses only their Navy Cash card (like a credit card).

Why are a couple saying they got to talk to their husbands on board Kearsarge last night on the Ombudsmen FB page? I thought they were still in River City.
