Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Sissy...sorry forgot to add you can cut the bracelet and instead of sewing it use a silicon based glue since that's what those bracelets are made of.

Sissy, the only way I've seen to shrink the size on those type of bracelets is pinching together the extra and sewing through it where you want it to fit, then cut the extra off.

No emails, they are still in River City. They can receive them though and care packages is what the ombudsman facebook page says.

Carolyn I am another marine mom. And this is my son's first deployment too. I went to the Dollar Store today and got things for a care package. Think I will send it tomorrow.

Carolyn you will love it here. Everyone has welcomed me in with open arms. Without them I would never known about River City and many other interesting things.

Thinking of all the families of our military!

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone. I don't like this place called "river city". I'll be glad when they get out of it. I just want to KNOW!! If anyone hears of a motomail letter going through, let me know, PLEASE. I know my son is going to get sick of the emails I'm sending, but I am trying to be encouraging just in case he can get emails but can't send them.
