Praying for all of you, and our children. I thought when I signed up day before yesterday, I would be coming for support, but now I feel like it will be better for me to help and encourage others instead. I have been through desert storm with my husband, and his going to the middle east for 10 years, but now it is different. I thank you so much for the pictures, it was very emotional to see and I emailed them to family members! blessings on each and every one of you, May your day be full of joy and love.

can you list the web site that showed the footage of the ship leaving? I live in Georgia and didn't get to say good bye or see my son before he left
Comment by dma57 on August 27, 2010 at 1:27pm
I was there today to see the ship pull out. You're right, Sissi, there was a lot of news coverage and numerous photographers viewing the many tearful goodbyes. I don't know that there's any easy way to say goodbye to our sailors - no matter where or when we say goodbye, it is never easy. Michelle is right, we have the hope of another day. Our sailors need us to take care of things at home (including ourselves) so that we are ready to welcome them home! God Speed Kearsarge!!
