I don't post here very often but I check in every day to see how you all are doing. Please know that my heart goes out to each and every one of you!! This will be my daughter's third deployment on the Kearsarge and each one is equally as difficult but I have to agree with many of you who have said that the amount of pride and love is equally as powerful! I am SO looking foward to seeing my daughter!! Of course seeing her off will be one of the most difficult things I will do but, like you said Priscille, I'll be there again with tears when they pull in!! And regarding when they return, we'll have plenty of time to make arrangements. Take care everyone!!

Heading to Norfolk to see my daughter!! She wants me to stay to see her off! It won't be easy but I'd do ANYTHING for her!! Her little nephews are making a care package for me to deliver to her.

My daughter also suggested the Crystal Light individual drink packets. She said the water onboard is not the best and they will definitely need to stay hydrated! She also said mentioned Sudoko, word finds, crossword books. Also pre-addressed & stamped envelopes make it easier for them to remember to write, especially when email isn't available.

@Prescillaz I'll talk to my hubby, he's very persuasive! I'll tell him to get video of it lol! Like I said my hubby is pretty crazy and his other nickname is Asian Persuasion haha. And if he gets video while they're gone I'll have him email it to me, since we got TMobile they have an international plan I'll turn on while they are at a liberty port.

@Pricillaz HAHA YES He does Karaoke on the ship, he's taken video of it and showed me when they got back. My hubby's known as the crazy asian so I'm sure your daughter knows my husband =D

There is a list of things you can send on Mollys Adopt a Solider group. She has all kinds of ideals but one thing Dustin told me the really need on the ship is air fresheners, it smells so bad . They were at wal-mart last nite and that was one thing they didnt want to forget. and the jerkey is anther thing.

You can say month but not any more specific. For example instead of saying they're coming back June 5th, you say They're coming back sometime in June.
