I know by fb that all military in Japan are accounted for...I just havent heard, and would like to know if others of the McCain have heard from their sailors.

A busy time, no doubt. Praying for our service men and women and all Japan.

I heard from my son via facebook this morning...they were out when it hit and all it well, they are waiting to render aid where needed.  However, he didn't sound too sure about his housing...I haven't heard anything yet as to the condition of base or surrounding areas..

will post again when I hear more..God Bless

THANK YOU! mine doesn't check in so much, but now all the family is asking and I'm exhausted from watching all night. Even my computer is slowing down!

Base by report no damage. will look for reports about roads--most are walking.

I did translate the twitter feeds about yokosuka-shi...pretty good overall, water, gas ok, power I think is back on. its cold though and power limited. (these are from japanese posts). but continued shaking and now in the mountains so its gonna be a long haul for everyone. bet they can't wait to render aid!

I know how you feel, I have been getting calls from family as well.  Thank you for the update on the area.  My son lost all of his belongings in Mississippi when Katrina hit so I was really hoping it didn't happen to him again...still praying...I will post again when I hear more as well..

God Bless,

Georgie

if I can figure out how to private reply I will--I'm always so cautious on these online thingys...yes, pray.

not sure where he lives, but it would appear that the town is doing ok. the people are posting about unusual things--like the vending machines are giving contents free due to the shakeup. (Japan seems to have vending machines for everything) I'm sure that was not planned.  I looked on google earth too and my son's neighborhood looks okay. At first I was worried about how low they were (tsunami) but now I wonder about the house....if I find anything out I will post or message you when I figure out how

thank you so much..I'm not sure what neighborhood he is in, I'm still waiting to hear from him again..could be a while though.  I will continue to check in..

as will I...and I will pray for you too. so many people know and love our sons and we are the first connect.

my first thoughts are the ship and the people they serve.

My son sent a message early this am through facebook saying he was okay.  He asked if I know anything about the earthquakes.
My son asked the same question...they must not be getting much info on ship..He was more concerned about his place...
I think they aren't getting much information, so I sent short news sentences by fb. Mine is concerned for his neighbors and home. I don't find many photos of Yoko either
they are back and ok
