Dear moms and wives, I created this group so we could all stay current on events and get questions answered as we needed them. My daughter has decided to get out of the Navy. I want you and others to be able to continue using each other and this group as a tool. Thanks for everything! Tracy

i hope to hear something from them soon. would love to hear his voice. again first time away from the husband and im going nuts.
Presumably it's slim because they haven't been underway in awhile and they have to get back in the swing of things.
BUT the good news is that this isn't a ten month deployment and they aren't going anywhere that's typically considered dangerous. Don't look at the negative. It never helps anyone.
they maybe busy so for communication will be pretty slim. this is my first underway ever with my husband and i hate it! if i do get any communication that would just make things a little more less stressful right now.
Hi all my name is Jennifer... I am new to the ship, well my husband is new to the ship. Anyways I use to live in suffolk but that was a long time ago I am new to the area in VA beach. What do I do now?
Is the homecoming streaming live online? I can't make it there to see my son return. (I'm excpecting another son (newborn) arrival in 2 months.:) I'm so happy that my DIL is there to greet him With warm hugs from us all. Thanks Tina G for being there. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!
Hi mzzsb - I think there's a very good chance that the Mesa Verde won't be deploying any time soon. It's had two deployments with only a short turn around time in between, and this one was unusually long. It will need a good long while in port for maintenance and repairs. Of course, with the Navy, you're never absolutely sure ....
