It's been nice to hear from my son twice this week. I'm glad they're getting more than a few days in Spain.

The weather report from Rota is that is like being in San Diego. Now I really am jealous! What could be better, Spain and warm weather.

I messaged S thorough fb.  Didnt mention anything about Seville or Day of the Dead or any of the women dressed ( it you want to call  it that) LOL.  Just that he was very busy and tired.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!  Be carefull out there with all your little ones!  I will be going out with my daughter tonite.. She is so excited!

Talked to JD.  He didn't mention Seville or Day of the Dead!  He did mention all the women were dressed for Halloween.  And I don't think they had on very much!  At the base where they are, is a place at the Nex where he ordered a pick up truck!! He saved a lot of money and didn't pay taxes.  It will be delivered to Groton from the factory.  I was amazed.  JD's been sick.  He said a handful of them are.  But he was feeling better today than he had been.  JD has duty tomorrow.  Guess he'll miss the Day of the Dead festivities.  Maybe somebody can post px later!

I just got a call from Alex. He's really excited about being able to go to Seville. I told him to take a ton of pictures of the cathedral. He didn't get to do much in Scotland, so he's really glad to be getting some time off now. We had the worst connection on the cheap phone he bought, but it was so good to talk to him.

I'm so looking forward to seeing him come home. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that he will be able to go with us to Hawaii this winter. Its one of those "once in a life time" trips for the family.

welcome Renetta.  Wendy got a call from JD this morning.  He had a cold.  Said several of them had it.  This stop was apparently a surprise.  Not where they thought they were going next.

Hello my name is Renetta, My son Charles is on his first deployment on the USS Miami. Was sure nice to hear from him today, and that he is doing well on his first tour.

Catie, Congrats on the baby girl news - hope your pregnancy goes well! My son is also an MM3 nuke and he is also qualifying this round. His name is Scott but he often goes by the nickname Blackie because for awhile he dyed his hair black and because he likes to wear all black. He's been everything from blond, to brown, to blue - oh well, it was only hair and the various colors were short lived. I haven't had an email either but I hope he's had a chance to read mine.

Loved your baby story Lloves.

When my oldest son was born, my husband made it home 20 hours before I went into labor. We made quite a pair. I was in labor and he had really bad jet lag. He had just flown home from the Indian Ocean by way of California.
