I just heard from Alex and he is loving his time in Rota, Spain. He just wishes that he had taken Spanish while he was in high school. He was on his way to Cadiz when he called. He also said he loves the food. That was a shock to me because Alex is a really picky eater, or at least he was before he joined the Navy. He is also going on a tour to Gibraltar. I'm really looking forward to seeing his pictures.
He said he bought a burn phone so he could call home. He took his I Pad, so he can get regular e-mail when they get to port. It was sooooo good the hear his voice.
No air conditioning? Isn't that some kind of abuse. I guess I'm just lucky that my studio is in my home. Although, with all the machines and iron on it does hit close to 80 degrees. But knowing you don't have air conditioning at work, I won't complain.
I'm going to send Alex an e-mail telling him that I've got the tee shirt and he can tell me what he wants me to do. Since he always tells me that being in dry dock it like being in Hell, maybe I'll save it for their next trip to dry dock. Maybe you should take a drive to Hell and see if they have any tee shirts. Might be funny to have two sailor with tee shirts from Hell. LOL
Hi all, Its getting unbelievably hot here also. It will be in the 90s all week here. I'm planning on hibernating for most of the week.
I bought Alex a tee shirt the last time we were on vacation. I was suppose to give it to him before he left. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it when we got home. We thought we lost it while travelling. Last night we found the tee shirt, but now I'm not sure if I should send it to him or wait until we see him again. We bought it while we were in a town in the Cayman Islands, in a town called Hell. It says "I'd rather be in Hell than at work". I would mail it to the boat, but I"m afraid it will get lost for good this time????
