Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yea we are up here know.. I have not really met anyone yet been so busy trying to unpack and keep up with these classes. But I like it so far.. Its a really big change from Florida..

kcase, If you are getting to Groton by the end of Jan. you should have a while to get settled. Are you going to be living on base or in town? If you are living off base, my son says that Mystic is the best place to live.

Enjoy every minute you have with him. I might get to see Alex sometime in Feb. When Scott gets to Miami have him say Hi to ET2 Love.

After a week's delay for car repairs, Scott left NY and made it home yesterday. It's so nice to have him home for awhile. Communication will be scarce once he's out on sub duty so I'm trying to prepare myself for that. Have a good week, everyone!

kcase1, It looks like you will have a while to settle in because Lorraine's son doesn't report until some time in Feb. The wives are a really nice group, so I'm sure you will have plenty of help finding your way around Groton and Mystic. My son lives in Mystic and really likes it there. He has a great landlord.

We will be moving very soon.. Im so excited.. He graduated this week friday he is flying down sat and we will be on our way up(driving). by the end of the month..  Im going shopping this week for me and the boys some winter clothes.. I just we get a chance to settle in before they call him for deployment

Good thing they're giving Scott a month off. He is delayed coming home this week due to car trouble. Hope to see him later this week!
