They said it should only take about 3 days for the parts to get to a dealership. Now, he just needs to make it back to Groton. He's driving with a bad strut ( whatever that is) and a bad altinator( SP?)

Apparently he needs to order two major parts for his car. He's sure he can get it done in CT. If he needs to, he can get a ride with one of his roommates.

Alex left at noon today for Groton. Fortunately the weather looks good all the way back to CT. He promised to call when he gets there. He's always good about that. After he checks in tomorrow, he has until Sat before he has any duty. So he should be able to get the car fixed, get a hair cut and get to enjoy New Years Eve.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Alex will be home until Sunday morning. Then he will start the long drive back to Groton. It should take him about 10 hours. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed because he is having some problems with his car. We tried to have them fixed while he was home but they couldn't get the parts in time. Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday.

Jerri. Believe it or not, we are expecting rain on Christmas day. Alex is enjoying his time at home. He's getting to see his friends even though we moved nearly an hour away. He'll be heading back to Groton on Sunday.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and that you all get that Christmas day phone call.

Hi Vicky. Merry Christmas. Alex is off with his friends tonight but he has spent a lot of time with us since he got home. He just heard about the snow storm heading for CT and is very glad he's home and not there.

We're waiting to hear from Alex. He should be home tomorrow or Tuesday. Then he'll be here until the 26th. Glad to hear that you and Kyle had a good visit.

Jerri, I hope you had a good flight home. I'm in Delaware tonight and will be in VA Beach tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy you time with your sailor. I'm counting the days until Alex makes it home. First I've got to get home and clean the house.
I've been invited to the USS New York on Monday and then I will head for home.
Thanks for looking after this very lost mom.

Jean, My email address is lindalove@zoominternet.net. I will give you the phone number for the ombudsman. You need to be registered to get on the base and meet the sub. I don't know how far ahead you need to do that, but the ombudsman will know.

Jerri, Call me when you get to Groton. I'll be at the hotel after I get some breakfast, so you can get me there about 9:30 am, at the latest. Looks like the weather will be good for shopping in Mystic. Its going to rain on Monday, but clear up for Tuesday and Wednesday.
