Hi everyone. The car is packed, my suitcase is packed and the brownies just came out of the oven. I'm planning on leaving by 8:30 am tomorrow morning. Just my luck its going to rain all the way to Groton. Can you tell I'm exited!!!!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Thanksgiving with my husband's family. I'll be back next weekend. So, I hope you all have a great holiday. Time to start the count down to the Miami's return. If any one wants my cell phone number, pm me and I'll send it to you, if I haven't already.

I'm actually packing two separate suitcases. One for the trip to St. Louis and the other for Groton. That way when I get back on the 29th from St. Louis, all I need to do is pick up the other suitcase and head out the next day. I'm just hoping the adrenalin high last long enough to get me there. I've been on a high since Alex called, even if the sound was so bad I could barely hear him. I got a sign from this really cool sign company. He's going to hate it!

Jerri, I was planning on going to Mystic on Tuesday so that would be great. Since I'm checking in on Monday, you could put you things in my room until you check-in. Then we could head off to Mystic.
Nancy, I think we will have plenty of time to get together before the boat arrives. I'm hoping the weather is decent for their return.

Nancy, I will be staying at the Navy Lodge. I'm hoping some of us can meet up for breakfast then go to the homecoming together. Where are you staying? I'll be arriving in Groton on Monday evening. Email me on my page and I'll give you my cell phone if you would like to have it.

HE FINALLY CALLED. Sorry about the shouting but it was so good to talk to him. The connection was terrible but who cares.....HE CALLED HOME! He also mentioned that he knew about this group. I could hear in his voice that "eye roll' he was so famous for as a teenager.

I'm going to be taking my camera, but I don't know how many pictures if any I will be allowed to take. I'm hoping to get some pictures of our sailors from this group.

It looks like I will be going to Groton by myself. My husband can't get off that week. Not so soon after Thanksgiving. I'm planning on arriving on Monday evening or Tuesday morning at the lastest. I depends on if I need to stop on my way to CT. I'll be making my hotel reservations tomorrow morning.

If you are going to the homecoming could you let me know when you will be arriving in Groton and where you plan to stay. Also, if you can give me a hand with the pillowcases. I am going to try very hard to get them into the hands of the FRG or the Ombudsman before the Miami arrives.

I just got my e-mail confirmation from the Miami's Ombudsman. There are a group of rooms at the Navy Lodge on hold for the Miami families. If you haven't heard the return date, contact me off list and I'll send it on to you.
