Meant to say Text message.
Boat is on fire. On National News. Fighting the fire. Call U later. That is the fax that I just got.
I just got a message from my son. I don't want to list it here. Has anyone heard anything from the Miami?
Catie, Thanks for the info. Just worries me that his phone is off and nobody has heard from him. he normally checks in with someone at least one day a week. He is almost done with his quals...
My son was also on the Miami, he told me a couple weeks ago that he will be deploying out again , but didnt know the dates. Now his phone is not on and is not on fb or skype. the last time this happened was while he was on the Miami.... he has transfered to ME. Anyone heard anything at all about a deployment?? please let me know.
Thx Lyn well he wont be going out to sea on the Miami anytime soon since it is in dry dock for a year or so. But I guess the could send him out as a rider on another boat and for that I hope they give him some notice
My son goes on terminal leave at the end of May. So,then we start the next phase of his life.
Notification for promotion varies with each rate. My son is a Nuke and so things are very different for them. the are for the Coners are promoted depending on how many spaces are available. They often have to take the test a couple of times before they get that promotion. Considering your grandson's rate, he will definitely need to go to sea to get his Dolphins. I just hope they give him a decent amount of notice before they send him on a ride along.
Lyn - my grandson is an ST. He tested for his E4 in March, do you know how long it takes for them to hear the results?
Hi Lyn, Good to see you're still checking in. I think about you in appreciation for all the help you've been to me. Is your son still active?
Nana Donna, Your grandson can start working on his Fish while he's on the Miami. But he will have to do a ride along with another sub in order to get his Dolphins. There are items that can only be signed off while they are at sea. What is his rate on the Miami? Lyn
