Does anyone know when the ship is getting back to San Diego?

Comment by vansmom on September 19, 2012 at 5:45pm

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a goodbye to all that have been there throughout the last 4 years with me on the MOB with me and my son.  Please check in with me now and then and let me know how your Sailor is doing on this deployment as I will be thinking of all of you and your Sailors, wishing them the best.  The MOB will always have a place in my heart and all the special people I met while he was there.  He is now deployed elsewhere and I cannot say where, but please keep him in your prayers that he comes home safe.  Thank you all and keep in touch!  Hugs, Maria

I did not want to do this but I am completely fed up with the navy! Last night for the first time my son slept on his ship for his first deployment and someone took his phone when he was sleeping. He informed the MPs then went to the rec center so he could get a hold of someone with his phone carrier. Trying to figure out what to do since he is leaving soon he asked several people in the rec center if he could borrow a phone to get a hold of claims operator and every sailor he asked said no... If this is the finest people in the finest navy where is the brotherhood, friends and sailors who vow never to steal and always help each other. I am sick to my stomach of how I thought my son was part of something great when it seems to be such a big lie. From a mother who has had it until proven different.
