The Monty left Kings Bay today and I got to be along the shore to wish them well.  Sharing some pics to show you the good care that was taken of our sailors. The tow ship they are hooked up to is the USNS Apache.  Holding my breath till they get to Norfolk.

Ahoy you Montpelier moms!!! My sonar tech son was aboard for the collision 13 October - the Navy's birthday!!! So hard to hear about it from RAD Breckenridge during the Navy League dinner in Palm Beach! Thank God all our sailors are safe in KB now.....

I never did hear from the ombudsman... :- / Sorry to say that I can't make it down this time anyway, but it would have been nice to get some information... Hope you all have a great time...

I got an email today!! Sounds like they're doing good... Can't wait till they get to port so I can hear his voice!! I too heard they were going to be 9 days late... And this may be a stupid question but what exactly is ombudsman?

Comment by teenzy on January 23, 2012 at 4:13pm

My brother emailed me the other day and said that they were going to be 9 days late of arrival. Unfortunately, I still don't know the exact day. Still waiting for anyone to email me the name of the ombudsman. I've been approved for time off at work but still haven't bought my plane ticket since IDK the arrival
