FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, I saw the pictures, but I try not to think about the dangers, even though they are very real. My husband was on the ground when the war started and I did not hear from him for two months as he made his way from Kuwaitt to Baghdad, so I have learned over the years to just give it to God and not think about it, or I drive myself crazy. We should be so proud of those men and women on that ship, they are all heros to me!! My family prays for there safety everyday!!

I know, it is so exciting! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning!! I can not wait to see my husband! THis is our 4th homecoming, but we are having family come in and this is the first time my kids will be able to attend, so this is going to be emotional and exciting.

Hi! Got an eamil from my son about a block of rooms at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel for $89. Does anyone know which hotel might be closer to the pier?

Ladies, I wish to thank you all for your prayers and support these last weeks waiting to see if we could come East for homecoming. We finally got the news today and YES we WILL see you on the dock My husband and I will return home from virginia on wednesday and leave for Virginia on friday after his shift. We are so grateful for all the kind words these last few weeks. See you soon.
